XX Coatrack
This project explores creating efficiencies in design, manufacturing and distribution. The XX Coatrack was designed to be both a classic and affordable piece of furniture. Relying on a simple manufacturing strategy, the coatrack is constructed from two pieces of cut and rubberized sheet fiberboard. There is little tooling or assembly involved. It packs flat, making its journey from the factory to the end-user a cost-effective one. It is also ready to assemble in seconds and is portable for the mobile demographic.
