Magnito Salt and Pepper Set

Made up of two halves, this object clicks together and pulls apart to reveal separate salt & pepper shakers. As a combined form at rest on the table, the unit behaves like a gently rotating top. When clicked apart, two halves emerge, one labeled by an “S” and the other by a “P” delineating their contents. Each has holes with different orbits, which keep the salt and pepper isolated in their containers when joined. Winner of the Chicago Good Design Award, featured on the front page of the New York Times Business Section, and received an honorable mention in I.D. Magazine. Designed for Kikkerland, Inc.
