Josh Owen was invited to participate in The Dorothy Saxe Invitational, an exhibition on display at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco from February 27 through June 2, 2009 for which eighty leading national artists were asked to reinterpret the traditional Passover plate.

Owen’s design for a compact Seder Plate and wine cup set challenges the notion that a ritual object need be static and engages ritual by revealing its identity through user-interaction.
